Frequently Asked Questions
Removing the wire-bails from your lid and Pickl-It container, which preserves their shine – easily damaged by harsh dishwasher or dish soap – may cause them to become stretched out, fitting a bit too loosely. They’re easy to tighten!
Simply remove the wire-bail bands from the container neck or lid. Then, just like an adjustable ring, the lid’s “loops” or the container’s “hooks” may be “pinched” together.
If “pinching” doesn’t sufficiently tighten them, pull them across each other, just like in the photo on the right, reforming a tighter circle.
If you’re unfamiliar with how to detach or attach the wire-bail 2-part assembly, see this faq for instruction.

Pickling is a global culinary art. If you were to go on an international food-tasting tour, you’d find pickled foods just about everywhere. You might sample kosher cucumber pickles in New York City, chutneys in India, kimchi in Korea, miso pickles in Japan, salted duck eggs in China, pickled herring in Scandinavia, corned beef in Ireland, salsas in Mexico, pickled pigs feet in the southern United States, and much, much more.

I looked at crocks there before I discovered Pickl-It. I couldn’t stomach the cost. I love the simplicity, durability and features of the Pickl-It. You really are brilliant!
