Uses: The 4-Liter or 5-Liter Pickl-It are perfect for creating popular large-batches, such as kimchi, sauerkraut, pickling cukes, and lacto-fermented sodas, decanting to four of the 1-Liter Pickl-It for refrigerated storage.
Use with mini-airlocks for refrigerator storage, or Fido wire-bail jars which offer you lead-free, oxygen-resistant food-storage.
Ideal for fermenting 3 to 4-pounds of vegetable fermentations. These are also very popular for lacto-fermented drinks including large batches of beet kvass, ginger beer, or a wide-variety of water-kefir drinks.
Each 4-liter Pickl-It glass container (Capacity: 3 to 4-pounds or 4-quarts liquid) includes:
- Tight-fitting, air-tight glass lid
- High-capacity easy-to-clean barrel-style airlock (mini-airlock may be purchased separately)
- FDA food-grade grommet
- Natural food-grade rubber white lid seal
- Plug’R – Converts Pickl-It into storage container when airlock is removed
Note: The Dunk'R is not included with Pickl-It jars and is not necessary for all ferments. If you are fermenting solid vegetables (not liquid ferments) you may wish to add one or more Dunk'Rs to your order.
